On 19-21 April 2023, the first international meeting of the ALEX project took place in Mons, Belgium. The agenda focused on a general overview of the project – a discussion on how the project idea was born, presentation of partners, project management. The main focus of the meeting was a review of the best practices/youth toolkit and the alignment of practices with the digital tool guide.
Logopsycom, the host organisation, presented its previous experience of working with a chatbot and presented a model of a chatbot created for another Erasmus+ project. It was discussed that understanding how to train a chatbot was of paramount importance for the project in terms of input decision-making, creating its personality, etc.
The partners discussed the first steps in determining:
- what should the entry point be? (a bot appearing on the website as an opportunity OR a bot integrated with Facebook/Instagram/Whatsapp)
- what topics should the bot cover?
- what should be the personality of the bot?
These issues should be discussed between June and August. Logopsycom’s production guidelines can be presented to the partners at the Agres meeting so that we can start with examples of what an educational bot could look like.
In addition to content creation, ARTeria is responsible for process evaluation for this project.
