On 17 February 2023, a dissemination event within the Master the Act project took place in the hospitable surroundings of the Municipal Cultural and Sports Centre in Pyskowice. Employees of labour market institutions and representatives of the cultural sector were invited to this event, in particular those involved in theatre activities and performing arts. The meeting was also attended by coaches and trainers related to the support of the unemployed, employees of HR departments and NGOs.
A representative of the ARTeria Foundation, Wenancjusz Ochmann, presented the assumptions of the project, the project partners and all the products developed as part of the MtA project. He also presented the concept of the new professional format of the Creative Employment Mentor. He described quite extensively what competences and knowledge such a person should have. He discussed the 5 training modules included in the handbook produced as part of the project. This was met with great interest by those attending the meeting. The e-learning platform was also presented in detail. The presenter showed how to register and log in, and discussed the training materials contained therein. The presentation was followed by time for questions and discussion. Participants emphasised the great innovativeness of the very concept of combining theatre and drama activities with the support given to unemployed and jobseekers. There were also voices of scepticism as to whether it would be possible to introduce the Creative Mentor concept into the reality of Polish labour market support institutions, which are assumed to be rather ossified and based on large state Labour Offices. After the official part, it was time for refreshments and informal and backstage talks. Informal networking provided an opportunity for participants from different cities of the Silesian agglomeration to get to know each other. To learn more: https://mastertheact.eu/pl/
