A few photos from the first Living Lab organised in Poland as part of the GreenCCIrcle project. We met in Gliwice – a city where culture, social development and ecology are important values (the city boasts new initiatives such as the Gliwice Art Biennale and the Gliwice Literary Award, as well as investments in cultural institutions and the revitalisation of urban spaces based on cultural activities).
The Gliwice Living Lab was a space for cooperation where representatives of local authorities and cultural institutions, artists, creatives, academic lecturers and cultural practitioners met to work together on innovative, ecological solutions in cultural and creative activities.
The invitation to participate was accepted by: Mayor Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka, representatives of cultural institutions: Paweł Januszewski (director of CK Victoria), Bogna Dobrakowska (director of MBP) and Izabela Kochańczyk (deputy director of MBP), Paweł Ciepliński associated with the All’Improvisio festival, artists and creators: painter and lecturer at the Silesian University of Technology Agnieszka Chrzanowska-Małys, playwright and writer Weronika Murek, painter and stage designer, lecturer at the Silesian University of Technology Iwa Kruczkowska-Król, illustrator and designer Joanna Czupryniak, and photographer Krzysztof Chrobak. The meeting was chaired by Anna and Wenancjusz Ochmann.
The meeting, organised in cooperation with the Municipal Public Library in Gliwice, showed that experienced participants involved in culture can outline challenges, develop inspiring ideas and practical solutions that are scalable and adaptable to other places in Poland and Europe.
