The second meeting of the GreenCCIrcle project partners was organised by our Latin American partner INFODEF (Institute for the Development and Promotion of Training) in Valladoid, Hispania, on 24-25 September2024.
In the atmospheric premises of the Federación de Organaciones Artesanas de Castilla y León (FOACAL), the project partners summarised the first eight months of work under the theme ‘Where we are: from Kosice to Valladolid’. They also discussed the first version of the professional profile of a sustainability facilitator presented by XAMK. INFODEF proposed a methodology and principles for validating this profile during local focus group meetings to obtain feedback from potential users, experts and trainers. Participants also attended a workshop to develop a first version of the informal training programme, tools and content.
GreenCCIrcle aims to equip representatives from the creative industries and the cultural sector with tools for sustainable transformation, emphasising creativity, critical thinking and entrepreneurship to tackle climate change. The project fosters collaboration between higher education and vocational education and training institutions, industries and research to enable CCIs to develop sustainable practices. Through the Living Lab methodology, the project promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, creating a vibrant environment for experimentation and innovation. Participants will engage in real-world challenges, improving the skills needed to survive in the market and valued by employers. The project focuses on implementing the principles of sustainability and the circular economy from the early stages of creative processes, aiming to transform CCIs into sustainability change-makers across sectors.
GreenCCIrcle training programmes, aligned with EU instruments and standards, will identify and address skills gaps, offering pathways to EU-recognised qualifications.
Linking with the Creative Pact for Skills and integrating with EU-wide initiatives, GreenCCIrcle aims to promote a sustainable, creative and entrepreneurial mindset among CCIs, enhancing their contribution to the green and digital transformation of society. This comprehensive approach aims not only to develop skills immediately, but also to ensure the long-term resilience of CCIs and their impact on economic and social wellbeing.
