On 14 March 2026, the second Polish Living Lab meeting of the GreenCCIrcle project took place at the ACM Art Studio in Gliwice. The event continued the dialogue initiated during the first Living Lab, where participants identified the key challenges and opportunities related to the green transition of the cultural and creative sectors.
The discussions built on the conclusions reached during the October meeting. Participants revisited questions about what already works in practice, which initiatives are successfully supporting the green transition of cultural institutions, and what barriers still need to be addressed. Particular attention was given to the role of artists and creative professionals—not only as participants in the transition, but also as catalysts for change and advocates of more sustainable approaches within society.
The meeting explored practical issues such as reducing the carbon footprint of artistic activities, responding to the increasing administrative demands placed on cultural organisations, and engaging artists in promoting Poland’s newly introduced deposit return scheme as part of broader environmental awareness efforts.
Participants were also introduced to the GreenCCIrcle Academy and the GreenCCIrcle HUB, two key project outputs designed to strengthen green competences, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support collaboration among professionals across Europe’s cultural and creative sectors.
The Living Lab brought together university lecturers, representatives of non-governmental organisations, artists, and professionals from the creative industries. The workshop was facilitated by Wenancjusz Ochmann.
