On 20 March 2024, the GZUT Model Hall in Gliwice hosted the Polish closing event of the international project “Poets of Today – Voices of Tomorrow”, dedicated to promoting contemporary European poetry and fostering dialogue between literature and other artistic disciplines.
The event brought together poets from across Europe, presenting contemporary poetry as a space for the exchange of diverse experiences, languages, and cultural perspectives. The participating poets were Anja Zag Golob (Slovenia), Radmila Petrović (Serbia), Harri Hertell (Finland), Małgorzata Lebda (Poland), and Márton Simon (Hungary).
The project adopted an interdisciplinary approach, combining literature with photography, music, and visual arts. The artistic concept was developed by Weronika Murek, the photographic interpretation was created by Rafał Siderski, the original music was composed by Wenancjusz Ochmann, and the visual identity was designed by Katarzyna Wolny-Grządziel.
The event in Gliwice marked the culmination of the Polish stage of the project and provided an opportunity to celebrate the international collaboration that aimed to introduce contemporary European poetry to new audiences while exploring innovative ways of presenting literature through dialogue with other art forms.
The event was organised in partnership with GZUT Model Hall (Gliwickie Zakłady Urządzeń Technicznych), whose unique industrial venue provided an inspiring setting for the project.
