The graphic identification of the poetry cards and the event ‘Today’s Poets – Voices of Tomorrow’, held at the GZUT Hall in Gliwice on 20 March 2024, was nominated for one of the most prestigious awards in Poland – PROJECT OF THE YEAR – in a competition organised by STGU (Association of Applied Graphic Designers).
The work included the design of the identity, 11 cards with poems and screens projected during the event. During the readings, five poets from the project’s partner countries interpreted their poems. A collection of postcards with excerpts from the poems, illustrated with photographs by Rafał Siderski, was designed to promote the project and teach poetry lessons. QR codes placed on the printouts redirect to the texts of the poems and their interpretations recorded by the poets in the form of audio files. The perforated card can be divided – one part is a postcard and a thumbnail photo with the author’s portrait can be used as a bookmark. The project’s logotype was applied to the photographs, printed on uncoated paper, using selective varnish.
The designs for the ARTeria Foundation were developed by Katarzyna Wolny-Grządziel.
