From 22 to 25 April 2026, Anna Ochmann, President of the ARTeria Foundation and a member of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), participated in the international conference “Research Careers Beyond Borders: 30 Years of the MSCA”, held in Brussels.
The MCAA Annual Conference is one of Europe’s leading forums for dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and innovation practitioners. The 2026 edition celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme while exploring the future of research careers, researcher mobility, and international scientific cooperation in Europe.
The Marie Curie Alumni Association brings together current and former MSCA fellows from a wide range of scientific disciplines and professional sectors. The association supports researchers’ career development, fosters international collaboration, and promotes dialogue between academia, public institutions, and industry, strengthening the long-term impact of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme.
Anna Ochmann’s participation in the conference was a continuation of her active involvement within the MCAA. She contributes to two international working groups focusing on sustainable research practices and artificial intelligence in research. As part of this work, she participated in discussions on the revision of the MSCA Green Charter and in expert meetings examining the environmental, economic, and societal implications of artificial intelligence for the European research and innovation ecosystem.
The conference provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with researchers and experts from across the world while contributing to discussions on the future of European research policy. For the ARTeria Foundation, participation in the event represented another important step in strengthening international cooperation at the intersection of research, public policy, culture, and innovation, while reinforcing connections between the academic community and cultural practice.
