One of the outcomes of the GreenCCIrcle project is the development of a professional profile of a sustainability facilitator(‘Sustainability Facilitator’), whose appointment would respond to the needs of representatives of the creative industries and cultural sector to improve the profitability, sustainability, competitiveness and social impact of CCIs through environmental, managerial and business skills. The sustainability facilitator profession’s offering is aimed at both experienced industry professionals and newcomers to CCIs looking to upskill themselves in sustainable, SDG-based business models and collaborative practices.
Based on surveys and research in all project partnership countries, an initial version of such a profile has been developed by the Finnish university XAMK. The next stage of the work is to discuss with sector practitioners and representatives of CCIs the necessary scoping skills for this profile based on this initial draft
A focus group was set up in each country of the project partnership, to which each organisation invited people they work with on a daily basis representing both sector practitioners, artists, researchers, policy makers, etc.
The ARTeria Foundation’s invitation was accepted by: Małgorzata Lebda, poet and writer, Wernika Murek, playwright and writer, and Rafał Siderski, visual artist.
At the meeting in Gliwice on 6 October 2024, Wenancjusz Ochmann presented, according to the methodology developed by our Spanish partner, an outline of the profile, skills and scope of the activity and the invited artists shared their experiences, comments and proposals for improvement in the context of the needs of the Polish cultural sector. The report from this discussion, as well as reports following focus group meetings in other countries, will be used by the partnership to further develop the final version of the profile.
