Creative Skills Week 2024 – AMSTERDAM

Creative Skills Week 2024 took place from 16 to 20 September in Amsterdam and brought together stakeholders from higher education, vocational education and training (VET) providers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and social and industrial partners to create a collaborative environment that will strengthen the entire skills development ecosystem.

Thanks to the involvement of all stakeholders, we were able to work on skills gaps, identify opportunities for upskilling and start shaping strategic skills for future creators.

Anna Ochmann, president of the ARTeria Foundation, was a panellist during one of the sessions entitled ‘Green skills/transition’. This session discussed experiences and initiatives (including a presentation of the Green CCircle project) related to green transition and environmental change. We presented examples of how CCSI contributes to achieving environmental goals and analysed the skills and competences necessary to carry out the green transition.

The session was moderated by Daphné Tepper (UNI Europa) and the speakers were Louise Allen (Creative Futures Academy), Anna Ochmann (ARTeria Foundation), Marko Popovic (CIKE – Creative Industry Košice), Florian Schneider (NTNU) and Mira Svartnes Thorsen (Ravnedalen Live Festival).

CSW2024 was organised by SACCORD in collaboration with CYANOTYPES, and hosted by the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK), with Marineterrein as co-host. The event was supported by the City of Amsterdam and EIT Culture & Creativity.
