How is artificial intelligence transforming contemporary artistic practice? Is it becoming a tool that enhances creativity, or is it creating entirely new challenges for artists? These and many other questions will be explored during the international conference “Future Scenarios. Young Creators in the Age of AI”, taking place on 29 July 2026 at 6:00 PM at Scena Bojków in Gliwice, Poland.
The conference marks the culmination of the YOUR.AI – Young Artists in the Era of Artificial Intelligence project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. Over the past two years, together with our partners from Italy (Cooperativa Sociale FOLIAS and Quality Culture), Austria (BildungsLAB), the Netherlands (The Artists and The Others), and Poland (Fundacja FOTON), we have been developing innovative educational solutions to support young artists and youth workers in the creative, responsible, and informed use of artificial intelligence. The project included the development of free online training courses, international workshops and hackathons, and the creation of opportunities for artists, educators, and AI experts to exchange knowledge and experiences.
When the project began, the conversation around artificial intelligence looked very different. During its implementation, AI evolved at an extraordinary pace, giving rise to new questions about creativity, ethics, copyright, and the future of creative professions. At the same time, the artistic community became increasingly polarized—from those who enthusiastically embraced AI-powered technologies to those who consciously chose to reject them.
The conference will bring together experts, educators, and young artists from Poland, Italy, Austria, and the Netherlands for a series of international discussions. Participants will discover the outcomes of the YOUR.AI project, hear about the experiences of those who took part in the workshops and hackathons, and enjoy the Creative Showcase — a presentation of artworks created by project participants, accompanied by a live music performance by Szymon “5cet” Padoł.
The conference is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Gliwice, Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka.

SPEAKERS:
Giulia Basso – Master’s Degree in Modern Languages for International Communication, Giulia Basso is a VET Trainer and European Project Manager with expertise in developing and coordinating community-based programmes. She coordinates the European TANDEM PLUS Network, bringing together non-profit organisations from 14 countries to promote social, political and economic inclusion.
Dr. Arianna Fantuzzi is an art historian and serves as the Coordinator of EU Projects Department at Quality Culture, where she oversees the implementation and management of multiple European initiatives. She holds a PhD in Visual Arts from IULM University in Milan and maintains an academic appointment as subject expert in Theory and Criticism of Contemporary Art at RomaTre University. Her professional portfolio includes numerous contributions to academic discourse through published essays and articles in monographs and peer-reviewed journals. She is the author of the book Frammenti di storie. Arte e narrazione in Italia negli anni Novanta (PostmediaBooks, 2026).
Jürgen Schroeder is an AI trainer, media design educator and EU project expert based in Vienna. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in New York and brings extensive experience as a Creative Director for national and international companies. Today, he combines this professional expertise with many years of teaching and mentoring young people in apprenticeship programmes, with a strong focus on creativity, responsible AI use and the development of critical thinking.
Wenancjusz Ochmann – is a musician by education and passion, as well as a music teacher, composer, pianist, vocal coach, mentor, researcher, and trainer. His work focuses on supporting the personal and professional development of artists and creative professionals. He is particularly interested in lifelong learning and the development of innovative educational approaches for adults, especially in non-formal and informal learning environments and digital settings. He has developed mentoring methods that help artists and creative professionals navigate the opportunities and challenges of globalization, digital transformation, and the contemporary creative landscape. Currently, he designs and manages international educational and cultural projects, primarily funded by the European Union.
Szymon Padoł, performing under the name 5cet, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work defies conventional genre boundaries. Based in Katowice, he moves effortlessly between the raw energy of techno and cinematic soundscapes, creating connections where others see divisions.
As a sound architect, he is equally at home in underground clubs and prestigious concert halls. One of his most notable projects, ElectroKilar, presented at the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), reimagined the music of renowned Polish composer Wojciech Kilar through electronic arrangements performed alongside the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra.
His artistic portfolio spans from the iconic track “Czilałt”, featured in the award-winning film You Are God (Jesteś Bogiem), to his own concept-driven audiovisual productions such as THX GOD. He has also collaborated with acclaimed filmmaker Lech Majewski, creating animated interpretations of Renaissance paintings for Hans Memling. ULTIMUM IUDICIUM. Constantly exploring new forms of expression, 5cet has recently turned towards ambient music and compositions based on the 432 Hz tuning, giving his latest works the character of contemporary musical meditation. Alongside remixing tracks by artists such as Smolik and Bokka, and collaborating with legendary Polish rapper Fokus (Paktofonika), he continues to demonstrate that sound and image are inseparable elements of his artistic language.
For 5cet, technology is never merely a tool – it is a creative medium capable of evoking authentic, deeply emotional, and almost transcendental experiences. His work reflects a constantly evolving artistic practice, reminding us that in 21st-century art, the only true limit is our imagination.
Agnieszka Chrzanowska-Małys is a visual artist, cultural animator, and educator. She graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Kielce, specialising in artistic textile design. She holds degrees from the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (2010) and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław (2023). She also completed postgraduate studies in Paper Art at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (2018).
She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her works are included in the collections of the Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, the Museum in Gliwice, the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, the BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Olkusz, and the International Amateras Foundation in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Since 2024, she has been a member of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP) and the Polish Committee of InSEA – the International Society for Education Through Art.
She is also the founder of Studio ACM, her independent art studio based in Gliwice.
Jessica Capra is a curator, art historian and cultural professional with more than ten years of experience of working in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. She initiates and develops cultural projects based on needs, created to make a change. She works for, and with artists and cultural professionals. The core pillars of every project she develops are: the promotion of shared knowledge, connections between people, the enhancement of their skills and new collaborations that can create value within the current cultural situation. Her passion for motivating, empowering and advising others, especially young cultural professionals and artists, led her to the creation of The Artist and The Others.
Since 2013 she is a certificated fundamental coach by Shouten and Nelissen, and since then she has been coaching artists in the development of their own career, through individual sessions, developing workshops that create a sustainable ecosystem for the artists and summer training in different countries. In 2024 she coached more than 80 artists from different countries.
After becoming a mother herself, and facing a burnout in 2023, she decided to take a course Curating with Care, which introduced the topic of care in the art world, and she is currently researching the topic of “motherhood” in the arts. Within the Artist and the Others she initiated the first online residency with mentoring for Artist-Parents, and realise also a physical one in Munich.
Her motto is shaping a more sustainable art world one project at a time.
Jacek Kulka has been working in the field of artificial intelligence and advanced information technologies for more than 20 years. At the FOTON Foundation, he is responsible for developing innovative technological solutions and integrating AI into educational, social, and research and development projects. He is the inventor of more than 30 electronic devices and the BMS Smart City system. His areas of expertise include the design of IoT systems, process automation, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Jacek has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams of experts and managing technology-driven projects for non-governmental organisations and public institutions, helping them harness emerging technologies to address real-world challenges.
