The transnational partners meeting under Bigtime Takeover project was organised in Nicosia, Cyprus at 12-13 January 2023.Our host organisation was Hope for Children and we met in the Stelios Foundation venue having also opportunity to visit Children’s House and shelter for children run by the HfC.
Agenda of the meeting was focused on development of Digital Platform, engagement of youth to work together online as well as challenges faced and actions that partners are planning to put into practice. Important part of the meeting was discussion about evaluation plan and final event in Skopje. We are planning to show the exhibition of the young people participated in the project before – the authors of ARTzin developunder the project (ARTzin) – we hope some artists will be able to present their art in person during the final conference in Skopje! Second day of the meeting was focused on dissemination and reporting issues.
Our host organisation – the “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center is an International Humanitarian and Independent Institution based in Nicosia, Cyprus. It works on humanitarian and development policy relevant to the defence and promotion of children’s rights. It does so through research, grassroots program design and implementation and advisory services offered to governments and international organizations.
Participants of the BTTO meeting in Nicosia were impressed about the Children’s House run by HfC which is a child friendly, safe environment for sexually abused children, using a multidisciplinary and interagency approach. “Home For Hope” is a safe shelter for children which aim is to provide unaccompanied children with more than just accommodation.
