From 2–4 December 2025, representatives of the ARTeria Foundation participated in the European Living Lab in Venice, organised as part of the GreenCCIrcle project. The event brought together around 50 experts, artists, researchers, and professionals from the cultural and creative sectors across Europe. Poland was represented by a five-member delegation engaged in promoting sustainable practices in culture.
The main objective of the meeting was to collaboratively develop solutions supporting the green transition of the cultural and creative sectors while testing the project’s key outputs, particularly the GreenCCIrcle Academy and the GreenCCIrcle HUB.
The first day opened with a session hosted by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Participants presented the outcomes of local Living Labs organised by project partners across Europe through a poster exhibition. The programme also included an interactive team-building exercise, a joint identification of the most pressing sustainability challenges facing the cultural and creative sectors, and co-creation workshops dedicated to testing the GreenCCIrcle Academy. The discussions demonstrated how diverse perspectives and experiences can generate innovative approaches to sustainable development.

The second day focused on transforming identified challenges into practical solutions. Working in multidisciplinary international teams, participants developed prototypes using the Hero Journey Radar methodology while co-designing the structure and resources of the GreenCCIrcle HUB, testing its features and mapping the needs of future users. A live broadcast by Radio DeuS, transmitted directly from Venice, was another highlight of the programme. Project partners and Living Lab participants shared experiences from local laboratories, presented examples of sustainable practices implemented across Europe, and discussed how the GreenCCIrcle Academy and HUB can support the green transition of the cultural and creative sectors.
The final day was dedicated to refining the proposed solutions and presenting the outcomes developed by the five international working groups. The programme also included a guided visit to St. Mark’s Basilica, providing an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between cultural heritage, tourism, and sustainability. The meeting concluded with the development of the GreenCCIrcle Statements—a set of shared recommendations and future directions for advancing the ecological transformation of Europe’s cultural and creative sectors.
The European Living Lab marked an important milestone in the GreenCCIrcle project. Over three intensive days, partners and participants transformed shared challenges into practical, collaborative solutions that will continue to shape the next stages of the project. The event demonstrated that international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and collaboration across disciplines are essential for building a more sustainable future for culture and the creative sectors.
