On 16 February 2026, the ARTeria Foundation team delivered the international mini-seminar “Digital Skills for Creative Professionals”, organised as part of the GreenCCIrcle project and the GreenCCIrcle Academy series coordinated by the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk).
The seminar explored the role of artificial intelligence in the cultural and creative sectors and the digital competences required by today’s creative professionals. Participants examined both the opportunities and the challenges associated with the use of AI in the arts, design, and cultural activities, reflecting on how emerging technologies are transforming creative processes and reshaping the future of creative professions.
The programme covered the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, as well as the ethical, legal, and economic implications of its use. It also addressed the environmental impact of AI technologies and encouraged participants to consider how AI can be used in a responsible, ethical, and sustainable way within the cultural sector.
The seminar provided a space for discussion, knowledge exchange, and critical reflection on how to strengthen the digital competences of artists and creative professionals while ensuring that technological innovation continues to support creativity and contributes to a more sustainable future for culture.
The event formed part of the GreenCCIrcle Academy, an initiative dedicated to developing green and digital competences across Europe’s cultural and creative sectors.
