ARTeria as a part of (CREATIVE) Pact for Skills

In 2024, the ARTeria Foundation became a member of the Pact for Skills and Partnerships at Scale in the Cultural and Creative Industries.

The Skills Pact is one of the flagship initiatives of the European Skills Agenda, and its aim is to support public and private organizations in upgrading and reskilling workers so that they can thrive in the green and digital transitions.

Members of the Pact have access to knowledge on skills upgrading and reskilling needs, advice on relevant funding instruments for skills upgrading, and cooperation tools.

The Skills Pact operates on two levels. First, as the European Commission’s Skills Pact, a flagship initiative of the European Skills Agenda, through which the European Commission encourages public and private organizations to come together and take concrete action to upskill and reskill people. Secondly, as the Creative Skills Pact, a bottom-up initiative implemented by the cultural and creative industries ecosystem to strengthen these efforts from an industry perspective.

The ARTeria Foundation is a signatory to the European Commission’s Skills Pact Charter, under which it has committed to:

  • promoting a culture of lifelong learning for all
  • building strong partnerships on skills
  • monitoring skills supply and demand and anticipating skills needs
  • countering discrimination and promoting gender equality and equal opportunities

It is also a signatory of the Creative Skills Pact manifesto and a member of the large-scale partnership within the Creative Skills Pact. Anna Ochmann, president of the ARTeria Foundation, is involved in the work of three working groups on the green transition, the use of AI in the cultural and creative sector, and new ways of recognizing skills (microcredentials). She is working to strengthen the European cultural and creative industry ecosystem and support talent development by addressing urgent skills needs through coordinated retraining and upskilling initiatives.

The members commit to exchanging experiences, engaging in the initiative’s activities, and aligning their efforts with the manifesto of the Skills Pact, with the aim of reskilling and upskilling 25% of the European workforce in the cultural and creative sectors annually by 2030.
