Annual General Assembly 2020 of the Culture Action Europe network with ARTeria

Representatives of the ARTeria Foundation took part in the Annual General Assembly 2020 – the annual meeting of the Culture Action Europe network, of which ARTeria has been a member (as the only Polish non-governmental organisation) since 2010. The meeting, due to the coronavirus pandemic, was held in an on-line form on June 12th 2020. It was an opportunity to analyse and approve the substantive and financial report of the network, as well as holding a by-election to the network’s management. Three sessions were provided, during which the member organisations had a chance to discuss the development directions of CAE in the future and the most essential tasks associated with representing the cultural sector on a European level. It was also a great opportunity to share experiences, present the organisations and projects that are pursued by them, as well as their activities, networking.

Culture Action Europe is a European network that deals with supporting and lobbying in favour of strengthening the role of culture in the European Union. The main goal of CAE is to influence the shape of European politics in order to provide better access to culture for every inhabitant of Europe, i.e. through cultural politics’ analysis, promoting information and opinion exchange, creating common positions on a European level, organising meetings and conferences, representing the cultural sector on a European level. The ARTeria Foundation has been a member of the network since 2010 (as the only Polish non-governmental organisation) – moreover, three main cultural institutions from Poland are engaged in CAE: the City Culture Institute of Gdańsk, the Baltic Sea Cultural Center of Gdańsk, and the International Cultural Centre of Kraków.
