Culture Action Europe is a European network that deals with supporting and lobbying in favour of strengthening the role of culture in the European Union. The main goal of CAE is to influence the shape of European politics in order to provide better access to culture for every inhabitant of Europe, i.e. through cultural politics’ analysis, promoting information and opinion exchange, creating common positions on a European level, organising meetings and conferences, representing the cultural sector on a European level. The ARTeria Foundation has been a member of the network since 2010 (as the only Polish non-governmental organisation) – moreover, three main cultural institutions from Poland are engaged in CAE: the City Culture Institute of Gdańsk, the Baltic Sea Cultural Center of Gdańsk, and the International Cultural Centre of Kraków.
