AI4CREATIVITY – meeting in Malaga

The first ‘live’ meeting of the AI4CREATIVITY project partners (the kick-off meeting was organised on 10 April 2024 in an online format) took place in Málaga, Spain, on 17-18 June 2024.

We met in a unique venue – at Polo Digital, a public institution run under the auspices of the Málaga City Council, which aims to promote entrepreneurship and create a strong ecosystem around video games, virtual reality and audiovisual productions.

The ARTeria Foundation, as coordinator of the project, moderated the sessions and discussions within the partnership. After reviewing the key elements of the proposal, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus + programme, as well as the assessors’ guidance and suggestions from the project evaluation, participants discussed the key activities planned for implementation over the next two years, including the creation of a guide to the opportunities and challenges of AI in the arts, a handbook on entrepreneurship and careers, and a guide to implementing the training developed by the project into VET curricula. This was followed by a detailed discussion of resources for future users, including worksheets (toolsheets) indicating useful AI-based tools for the creative industries in the five creative areas, practical guidance on how to use AI-based tools to create specific artistic content (workflows) and an e-learning course.

Another important part of the meeting was the work on planning the dissemination of the results, including the elements of the project’s visual identity, website, online communication campaign strategy and the invitation of external specialists to the project activities. The principles of project management, including financial and qualitative, related to the process itself were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of almost all partner organisations, with the exception of the Slovak partner, with whom ARTeria met in an individual online session on 8 July 2024.
